Overview

Memorop started as a collaboration between students at Drexel University in Philadelphia, a cooperative education college renowned for its entrepreneurship program, diversity, and free thinkers. The first prototype, built by students, was a beta mobile web app created in 2009 and was exhibited at Drexel's New Venture Forum and The Philly Startup Leaders Entrepreneur Expo. This led to three round of over $50,000 of angel funding between 2009 and 2010.

The first Memorop version was released in late-2010 and was available on the iPhone, Blackberry, and Android. It fielded over 20,000 users and was featured on the front of Blackberry App World for ten days. Additionally it was selected a Developer Challenge Regional Finalist.

In mid-2011, Memorop reorganized and pivoted from a personal relationship manager to a social memory app that connected multiple users by profiles of their name, photo, and tags. This concept and many other new features were requested by our app users. Memorop Version 2 was built and in late 2011 and the app launched in 2012 on the iPhone, Android, Mobile Web, and SMS.

We are committed to continuing a 100% free service with an extremely low operating budget and no full time employees. We strive in fulfilling our vision of building an enterprise of happy users. At Memorop, we are more excited about the thought of solving a problem than we are about selling advertising space or charging users! Lastly, Memorop proudly maintains ties with Drexel University and the Philadelphia Entrepreneur Community, which is why we urge you to make a donation to our philanthropic partner, the Startup Corps, a Philadelphia social business incubator that mentors high school students and empowers them with the passion of entrepreneurship!

Our Team

	Kevin Wu - Ext. 21 Kevin is a junior at Drexel University studying Business and Engineering with concentrations in Finance, Operations Management, and Management Information System. He is currently the Senior Advisor and the Treasurer of the National Organization for Business and Engineering. His previous work experience includes working at the Philadelphia Housing Authority as an assistant manager for the Contracts department
	Brad White - Ext. 15 Brad White is a junior at Drexel University studying Business and Engineering. Brad is the President of the National Organization for Business and Engineering (NOBE) At Drexel, and has previously worked at PECO energy as a Business Gas Analyst.
	Omar Kabeer - Ext. 14 Omar is a senior at Drexel University majoring in Computer Engineering. He currently works as a consultant with Deloitte and has previously worked in Princeton University's Plasma Physics Laboratory. Omar plays Intramural Volleyball and is a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines.
	Shams Naim - Ext. 22 Shams is an operations analyst for Citigroup in Wilmington, Delaware. He holds a BS in Business and Engineering from Drexel University, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. At Drexel, Shams founded the Drexel Entrepreneur Association, the Drexel Club Tennis Program, served as president of the Drexel Interfraternity Council (IFC) and is a founding father for the reinstated Alpha Pi Lambda Fraternity. He has previously worked for Drexel's Office of Institutional Advancement.
	Valerie Scherr - Ext. 19 Valerie is a vector illustrator and production artist. She graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Graphic Design. She currently runs her own design firm, "Valerie V. Design". Valerie has previously worked at Phinally Philly and PREMIERE Sports and Entertainment as a Graphic Artist. Her work has been featured in Philadelphia Magazine, UBS Motor Cars Under the Stars Tribute Journal, and the Philadelphia Business Journal.
	Teodora Stoyanova - Ext. 13 Teodora is an entrepreneurship consultant and a Drexel University graduate where she majored in Finance and International Business. At Drexel, she was a member of International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma, The Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Drexel Chocolate Lovers Club, and was a Head Residential Assistant (HRA). She has previously worked as a Financial Analyst for URS Corporation, and as a Private Equity Intern for Hirtle, Callaghan & Co.
